Our Board of Directors...

Bryan Goff became treasurer of The East Haddam Community Foundation in January 2022. In this role, he oversees the overall financial management of the foundation, including accounting, balance sheet management, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, and tax.  Bryan grew up in Chester, CT and moved to East Haddam in 1997 with his wife Maureen who serves as the treasurer for the town of East Haddam. They raised three children in town and he has acted as a baseball, soccer and basketball coach for all three.  Mr. Goff is the secretary of the East Haddam Inland Wetlands and Watercourses commission and has served as a commissioner on the council for over twenty two years. He is also a member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.  He is currently employed by the Department of Defense as the health and safety manager for naval sea systems command, supervisor of shipbuilding in Groton, Connecticut where he helps to oversee the construction of nuclear submarines for the US Navy.  Bryan is a third generation US Navy sailor and a Persian Gulf War veteran. He enlisted in the Navy out of high school in 1986 and was honorably discharged in 1995. In 2009 he applied for the Navy’s direct commissioning officer program and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Navy reserve where he currently still serves.  He has completed deployments to Asia, Greenland, South America, Europe and the Western Pacific.  In February 2020 he returned from a nine month deployment to Djibouti Africa.  

Mr. Goff earned a Bachelor’s of Science in environmental science in1996 and a Master’s of Science in biology in 2001 both from Central Connecticut State University.

Lisa Conroy is a graduate of Nathan Hale-Ray High School and Ithaca College. She returned to her beautiful hometown of East Haddam where she and her husband, Shawn, have raised their sons, Matthew and Drew. She is the Athletic Trainer at NHRHS and Director of the East Haddam Parks and Rec Department. When not in the gym or on an athletic field with her work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family...usually in a gym or on an athletic field. She has volunteered with East Haddam Youth and Family Services Local Prevention Council, East Haddam Moodus Little League, the Little Noises Athletic Booster Club, the EHES PTO and MPAC and looks forward to working with the East Haddam Community Foundation.

Liza Bonadies and her husband Nick have been East Haddam residents for 22 years. Together they have two children, Caroline 18, and Nicholas 21, both Hale-Ray graduates. Liza attended RHAM High School in Hebron and is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut Sate University.  She is currently the President of Action Steel, LLC headquartered in East Haddam.  Before the business startup in 2001, she spent seven years at The Hartford Insurance Group in the Commercial Lines IT division. Currently Liza sits on the board of an industry employer’s association.  She is the former treasurer of Little Noises Athletic Boosters Association and has volunteered time in both the elementary and middle schools here in town.

Terry Garrity is an experienced Sales and Marketing Professional and a passionate advocate for children with autism and other neurodiversities.   

Terri currently works on the marketing and development team at A Little Compassion, Inc. who’s mission is to build a safe, kind and inclusive community for all. The company positively impacts the lives of neurodiverse young adults with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and related disorders by nurturing their unique skills, strengths, and preferences through customized programs which provide opportunities for job training , community connection, and support.  Terri also spent 14 years at  Showtime Networks as National Accounts Director calling on major cable television providers and negotiating cooperative marketing agreements. 

Terri also serves the community as a sitting Board Member with the East Haddam Board of Education.  Prior to her school board election, Terri volunteered for years as a Co-chair and Parent Advocate with The East Haddam Special Needs Parent Group.   The group is still available to help provide support,  advice, training, networking opportunities, for local families of students with disabilities.  

Terri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Southern CT State University and has completed  40-hours of Applied Behavioral Analysis training.  In 2022, after completing required coursework, she was awarded a fellowship from the University of Connecticut for the Connecticut Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (L.E.N.D.) Program.

Terri is married to her husband Rob and they are parents to two beautiful sons.  She enjoys spending time in nature foraging for mushrooms and other wild edibles in and around the beautiful forests of East Haddam which she also calls home.

Lisa Cahill and her husband Tim have been East Haddam residents for 28 years. Together they have raised two children, Madeline, 28 and Reilly, 23, both graduates of Hale Ray. Lisa graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a degree in Education. Later, Lisa obtained a Master's degree from St. Joseph's in West Hartford Ct. Lisa began her career with the Allstate Insurance Company then moved to CNA insurance, and then Safeco, where she was Vice President of Sales in Connecticut. She left to pursue owning a Curves fitness franchise and served the women of East Haddam and Moodus. There she held numerous food drives, school supply drives, breast cancer walks, and won a grant to help young teen girls get exercise into their lives. Lisa also realized a lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. She was honored to serve the students at East Haddam Elementary School for over 10 years. Lisa recently retired and now enjoys cooking, walking, traveling, and being with friends. Lisa is looking forward to continuing to serve the community through the East Haddam Community Foundation.
